Delete your account and data.
Data Deletion Effective May 13, 2026 Last updated October 20, 2026
You have the right to delete your ClipScore account and associated data at any time. This page explains how.
In-App Deletion (Recommended)
- Sign in to your account at https://clipscore.ai
- Go to Account settings
- If you have a renewing subscription, cancel its renewal first in Settings. You do not need to wait until the paid period ends.
- Click “Delete my account”
- Confirm
A successful response confirms account deletion. Your uploaded files are then removed from storage by a background cleanup, usually within minutes; it retries until they are gone and keeps checking for uploads that were still finishing. If the page reports an error, a subscription still settling, or pending payment activity, deletion has not been confirmed: retry, or email team@clipscore.ai. A failed attempt must not be treated as completed deletion.
This billing step applies to closing a ClipScore account. It does not prevent you from requesting deletion of Instagram or other personal data by email, and no payment or paid plan is required to make that request.
Email Request
Send an email to team@clipscore.ai from the email address registered to your account. Subject line: “Data Deletion Request.”
Include:
- Confirmation that you want your account and data permanently deleted
- The email address on the account (so we can verify identity)
We act on verified requests as soon as reasonably possible, normally within 30 days, and sooner where applicable law or Meta requires it. We send confirmation when complete and explain any legally required retention or lawful extension.
You may request deletion of particular personal information or connected Instagram data without deleting your entire ClipScore account. If you cannot access your account or never had a ClipScore account, provide the relevant account email or Instagram username and explain the data you want removed. We may request the minimum information needed to verify authority. Do not send passwords, access tokens, payment card details, or identity documents unless specifically and securely requested.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your name, email, and password hash
- All videos you have uploaded
- All analysis results, scores, and recommendations associated with your account
- Scoring reference clips we took from your analyses
- Links you submitted for analysis while signed in, with the request records that came with them
- Product conversations, saved creator context, plans, and customer Blueprints associated with your account
- Instagram authorization tokens, connected account and post data, and derived information within the scope of your verified request or an applicable Meta deletion requirement
- Your subscription information (though payment records stay with our payment processor and in our payment references; see below)
What Does Not Get Deleted
Some data is retained for legal or operational reasons:
Payment records
Stripe, our payment processor, keeps the customer and payment records it was given, which can include your name, email, and billing details. We keep our references to them, such as customer and checkout IDs, and only the payment records and period required by applicable tax, accounting, dispute, or other legal obligations.
Usage and cost records
Records of the work your account ran and what it cost, kept for accounting. They no longer carry your name or email and are no longer linked to your account, but can keep technical reference numbers, such as your account's internal ID or the numeric ID of an Instagram account you connected.
Deletion record
Your account's internal ID, without your name or email, kept so that the storage cleanup can find and remove any upload that finishes after deletion.
Other accounts' records
If another account's plan, card, or recommendation referred to your content, that account keeps its own record. The reference to your content is removed, together with anything that record held about your posts.
Anonymized analytics
Non-personal service analytics may be retained where lawful. Meta Platform Data remains subject to Meta's use and deletion rules even when aggregated, derived, or de-identified.
Backups
Residual copies are restricted from ordinary use and removed through the applicable backup lifecycle. If a backup is restored, deletion must be reapplied before the affected data returns to ordinary use.
Connected Platforms
Use Disconnect Instagram in the Instagram section of ClipScore’s Settings. ClipScore then deletes that Settings connection’s stored access token and the numbers the connection read, at once. If a read was already running, ClipScore does not save what it brings back.
On Instagram, ClipScore is listed as ClipScore-IG. Instagram does not let apps remove themselves, so Instagram may still list ClipScore-IG under Apps and websites in your Instagram settings. Removing ClipScore-IG there ends the authorization on Instagram’s side. Instagram then notifies ClipScore, which deletes the stored access token and numbers of any Settings connection to that Instagram account made before you removed ClipScore-IG. A connection you make afterwards is a new one and is not affected.
An older Studio connection is an earlier Instagram authorization made for a Studio creator; the Creator section of Settings may show it while ClipScore still holds it. Its authorization ends on Instagram’s side the same way: remove ClipScore-IG under Apps and websites in that Instagram account’s settings.
To have ClipScore delete what an older Studio connection stored, or any other stored connected-account data, follow the email instructions below. We also delete Meta Platform Data when it is no longer needed for the permitted service purpose, when Meta requires it, or when the applicable customer no longer has an account or receives that service, unless retention is legally required.
Instagram and Meta Data Deletion Instructions
This is ClipScore’s human-readable data deletion instructions page. It is not an automated callback endpoint. Meta’s app settings distinguish a deletion instructions URL from a technical callback URL.
Meta users requesting deletion of data ClipScore received via Meta APIs can do so by:
- Visiting this page
- Emailing team@clipscore.ai with “Meta Data Deletion” in the subject line
Include the affected Instagram username or other relevant account identifier and state whether you want Meta data removed or your whole ClipScore account deleted. A customer, authorized representative, or person whose Meta data we hold may request deletion. You do not need an active ClipScore account or subscription.
We verify the request, delete the affected data as soon as reasonably possible, normally within 30 days or sooner where required, and confirm the outcome by email. Any refusal or legally required retention will be explained. We do not keep Meta data merely because we removed its identifiers.
